I'm John Lyons, a Windsor-based wedding photographer with nearly two decades of experience photographing weddings across Windsor-Essex, Chatham-Kent, Toronto, and destinations throughout Canada, Mexico, and Europe.
My approach sits between two worlds: editorial and documentary. The images are crafted and intentional, but the moments are always real. I give couples space and time. A quiet word, a direction to walk, room to breathe. Then I get out of the way. What happens next is theirs. I'm just there when it does.

Windsor is a market I know deeply. Not just because I'm based here, but because I've spent nearly twenty years watching how weddings feel in this region. The light in late afternoon, with the Detroit River in the background and golden hour arriving earlier than most couples expect, is some of the most beautiful light I've worked in anywhere. I build the timeline around it on every wedding day.
I've photographed weddings at the Ciociaro Club, Caesars Windsor, Essex Golf and Country Club, Ambassador Golf Club, Willistead Manor, Mastronardi Estate Winery, and Sprucewood Shores Estate Winery, among others across Essex County and Lakeshore.
