Couple #5 – Hope & Adam
Their story…
As far back as can remember I dreamt of a fairytale wedding where my prince charming and I would start out lives together. I dreamt that someday I would have my Ever After. My name is Hope and in August 2005, I met my soul mate, my one and only-prince charming, and I felt like all my dreams were coming true. My fiancé’s name is Adam and from the day that we met we’ve been inseparable. I am so grateful to have him in my life, and to share out story.
I’ve known my fiancé for six wonderful years, and we’ve experienced many things together some good, some bad. And as a result our relationship has grown and strengthened. We’ve gone from friends to soul mates. Before I met Adam my mother and I came from an abusive environment with my father, so I’ve seen first hand what emotional and physical abuse can do to a woman and how damaging it can be. I also had come from an abusive relationship prior to Adam. I had shed many tears and was brokenhearted. I knew Adam at this time, and he offered kindness and support, and was there to talk to. When my abusive relationship finally ended – Adam was there, and has been ever since. I never knew or felt the sincere love of a man nor understood the level of trust that a man was able to give me, until I met Adam. He has been the constant in my life for five years, offering me his unconditional love and support.
Throughout our relationship we’ve had many trials and obstacles – I just finished school after three years and he was there with tears of pride and happiness for me. All through my schooling Adam encouraged me and took over financially because I wasn’t able to work as much. Not once did he complain. I’ve also seen what kind of son he is to his parents, his mother had cancer for the second time, and Adam was there to see them though this ordeal. It warms my heart to see his love for his family and the way he is around children, and I know he will be a wonderful father to our children someday. We both share the same values and beliefs in life, and hold our families very close to our hearts. “Family means everything” to us. I am very grateful to go through life with Adam by my side, and I know that we can tackle anything that life throws at us.
We deserve to win this dream wedding because we were destined to be together and to have one moment-one perfect day to officiate our love to each other and become husband and wife. Through struggle and sacrifice, and against all odds we’ve made it. We’ve both worked hard everyday on improving and cementing our relationship. It isn’t always easy, but our hard work pays off in the end because we know we can count on each other to get through the hard times. We have grown and became stronger as our relationship. blossomed. To win this wedding would be a dream come true for both of us, not only would we be able to afford a beautiful wedding but also we would be starting our new lives together, as one.
I believe in dreams coming true and becoming a reality and on October 22, 2011 when I say, “I Do”, I know that my whole life is going to chance. Not only am I marrying my soul mate, but my best friend. And we will live Happily Ever After.
