John Lyons Photography :: Real. Passionate. Fun. bio picture

Welcome to our new extra fabulous blog,
with EXTRA LARGE IMAGES

We are so excited about our new blog. This blog picks up where the old blog left off. If you want to go back and check out the old one, then just click here. We'll be tweaking this new blog over the next few weeks, possibly adding some of the content from the old blog.

Don't forget though, our main portfolio site, contact page and availability are still located here.

Just a quick note, most 2009 wedding dates are booked, and we can only accept a couple more 2009 commissions, so please contact us for availability. Prime 2010 dates are starting to book as well. So if you are getting married in 2010 and you haven't booked yet, please contact us asap.

Oh, and a shout out to our great friend Harold at Modern Photoglyphs for shooting the bio pic of Larisa and me in action last summer.

Enjoy!

Fellow photographers, I need your help…

I need your advice… I’m considering putting a proposal together to speak at an industry conference next year. I always believe that if you talk about the things that you love, then the words will just flow. Well I love weddings and I love photograhy – so no probs talking for 4 hours! My problem though, is trying to narrow the focus a bit. I need to talk for an hour about something that I can share with other photographers that would help them in their business. What would you like me to talk about. I would love it if you could leave a comment below or send me an e-mail to help me put together my proposal.
Thanks,
j

Oh, don’t forget about our get together next week either. If you need an e-vite, leave a commen tbelow or send me an e-mail…

Moon and Carlo Are Married

A couple of weeks ago, I photographed Moon and Carlo’s intimate wedding ceremony at Sprucewood Shores Estate Winery. After the ceremony, we wondered around the winery taking a few images before the rain hit us. Moon looked fabulous in her traditional Ghagra Choli. I love Indian wedding wear – so colourful and intricate! here are a few of our faves:
