Fellow photographers, I need your help…

I need your advice… I’m considering putting a proposal together to speak at an industry conference next year. I always believe that if you talk about the things that you love, then the words will just flow. Well I love weddings and I love photograhy – so no probs talking for 4 hours! My problem though, is trying to narrow the focus a bit. I need to talk for an hour about something that I can share with other photographers that would help them in their business. What would you like me to talk about. I would love it if you could leave a comment below or send me an e-mail to help me put together my proposal.
Thanks,
j

Oh, don’t forget about our get together next week either. If you need an e-vite, leave a commen tbelow or send me an e-mail…

Amy G - While I am not a photo professional John, I am simply amazed at your craftmanship. The images that I have seen on this site capture the subjects’ passion and tenderness for each other. It is as if the viewer is stepping into the marinating warmth of their love. Those impressions are moving and captivating as it is rare to experience true love, let alone being able to view it captured on film.

Perhaps you should discuss the making of the magic behind your work. How do you usher a couple into a safe, emotional place wherein they are comfortable enough to allow your lens to tell their love story? And how is it that your audience feels the tension, the attraction and desire that each has for the other? Surely one cannot justsay it is ‘the lighting.’

In my humble opinion, discuss/teach what you know. Clearly you know how to pull the heartstrings of these couples–whether they have been together for years or are at love’s first blush.

Best Wishes!
