Okay Chatham-Area photogs let’s get together! Now that the 2008 wedding season is starting to wind down, we should all get together to get to know each other a little bit better. Nothing too formal, maybe we could show off some albums, prints or slideshows, or nothing if you’re not that comfortable showing off. But the most important thing is to get to know each other and network with each other to improve all of our businesses.
For example, I know quite a few other wedding photographers locally – Sean Harling, Brett Foland, Harold Jankowiac and Trevor Booth and we all work together to promote each other. While we are technically “competitors” it’s certainly not viewed that way by any of us, in fact we’ve all become good friends. After all, you can only shoot one wedding per day!
I’ll pick a location and date once I get an idea of how many – but I’ll try to get a private room somewhere. Obviously I’m open to suggestions! Maybe lunch isn’t the best option either, maybe a dinner or after work get together would be better for everyone’s schedule. Just send me an e-mail if you are interested, or leave a comment below. Once enough people respond, I’ll poll everyone for the best time/location.
